We understand that gardens come in all shapes and sizes, from balcony and patio gardens, to veggie boxes and small flower beds. We can offer maintenance services for your small garden or courtyard, including watering plants, repotting and repositioning  plants, clearing debris and leaves, pruning, and hedging.

For effective weeding, undesired plants should be prioritised based on their reproductive cycle and their potential to propagate on their own. It is important to attack certain weeds before they seed for effective results. We will implement a weed management plan based on the types of weeds and the severity of each case. Although we do not advocate the use of synthetic herbicides, in some severe cases, they are necessary and very effective.

MANUAL WEEDING METHODS

Using small tools and hand removing weeds can be a time consuming method, but thoroughly effective if all the roots and rhizomes are properly removed.

HERBICIDES

We can offer a range of organic herbicide applications. If it is deemed necessary, we can also deploy synthetic herbicides on larger scale weed sights.

PLANT DIVERSITY

Plant diversity is so important as it can provide diverse food, pollen, and habitat for insects, birds and other wildlife. Having a diverse garden also helps restrict the growth of undesired weeds, and lowers the risk of pests and disease, establishing a healthy growing environment.

PESTICIDES

Even the strongest plants can fall prey to pests, and quickly go from healthy and thriving, to knocking on death's door. The best defense against pests is a healthy, diverse variety of plants. However, pests can become a problem, even in desired conditions. To combat major pest infestations, the most effective method is to use a good quality pesticide. We have found a variety of organic pesticides which are effective. Synthetic pesticides can be very effective, though they can also cause harm to beneficial creepy crawlies. We are happy to assess the infestation and recommend the best course of action.
